Tasting note from distillery:
Aroma- Medium intensity and warm on the nose. Slightly astringent. Grain, straw, flint, ripe pineapple, hints of lemon, cedar, orange and green apple.
Flavor- Butterscotch first sip, and quite complex flavours reminiscent of a long-matured Christmas cake.
A weighty mouthfeel with cereal and barley sugar sweetness of candied fruit. Peppery with restrained but increasing heat, hints of grape skins.
Finish- Well-rounded with a medium finish. Lingering acidity and long peppery finish. Musk, dried fruit and oak on the empty glass.
