This un-peated eight year old Ardnmaurchan started life in ex-Bourbon casks for five and a half years before luxuriating in ex-Sauternes wine barriques for a further 30 months.
Nose - Apricot jam, almond flakes, marzipan, brioche bread, dried stone fruit.
Palate -Seeded bread, green peppercorn sauce, apricot, heather honey, the palate is more savoury than the nose.
Finish - Less sweet than the nose, wonderfully balanced with a dry finish.
