For this release, the artist MARIA MELERO has evoked the sights, sensations, and emotions of a Spanish New Year's Eve celebration in Jerez de la Frontera. Her sweetest memories begin with a crimson sky, the vestiges of a vivid sunset drawing a red curtain over the year, and vineyards of sherry grape vines resting peacefully below, protected by a border of thorny roses whose delicate petals alert the winegrowers to incoming threats. In fields just like this across Jerez de la Frontera, the sherry wine is made that gives The Macallan its signature taste.
