Distilled: June 2008
Nose: Breakfast in a glass: warm porridge with sliced bananas and cream, ripe Honeydew and Cantaloupe melons, dried apricots, Fruit Pastilles but with a grounding earthiness (toasted sandalwood and burning leaves)
Palate: Redolent of the coast with wet sand dunes, Marram grass, and a hint of salt in the air but note, too, the freshly soaked barley, dry hay, yellow rhubarb, and a gentle vanilla sponge sweetness
Finish: Long with lingering saltiness, barley sugar, and a beguiling minerality
