Tasting notes:
Nose: This dram opens with the unmistakable aromas of a wild and peaty Islay malt. The smoke swirls right of the glass with a briny confidence. But there’s a touch of spice about it too, reminding us of jalapeño brine in a jar.
Palate: The oily texture coats the palate, there’s a sweet malty note hiding under the smoke. It brings a fruity character here too, like tart blackcurrants. Add some black pepper and a twist of chilli.
Finish: The smoke carries on along the palate and has a touch of an ashy finish.
