Truly unique, made from Penhold Malted Barley that was heavily roasted. The rare deep roasted malted barley used in this Single Malt whisky produced unique aromas of espresso grounds, roasted coconut, leather and chocolate dipped cherries. On the palate; sweet sponge toffee, roasted barley and rich dark cigar tobacco.
ORIGIN STORY
A close call at Red Shed Malting resulted in a unique, intensely kilned product they never want to recreate. If the mishap hadn't been caught when it was there might not have been a Barn Burner, but it was caught just in time for the malted barley to pick up intense aromas that are welcome in whisky. Bridgeland jumped at the opportunity. With patience, the heavily roasted Penhold Malted Barley brings something entirely unique and never to be recreated in this Artisan Collection Single Malt.
