Over the past few years, bartenders have been asking me for a better coffee liqueur with character, balance and more than 25% ABV. Trey Malone from Northshore Specialty Coffee in Covington, LA and Jackson, MS approached me about using coffee from his supplier, Thrive Farmers a passionate group of entrepeneurs dedicated to improving the lives of the people who produce coffee around the world.
With a shared passion in sustainability I am thrilled to bring transparency and quality to my newest liqueur. Café Carib is cold-brewed to capture the fullest flavor of the rich coffee then blended with Jamaican rum from Worthy Park Estate and just enough sugar to qualify as a liqueur and to balance the rich rum and coffee flavors.
Café Carib is a blend of estate-grown Nicaraguan coffee imported by Thrive Farmers whose mission is to pay producers a living wage for a better world. This coffee was meticulously roasted and cold brewed by Northshore Specialty Coffee then carefully blended with Worthy Park Estate Jamaican rum at Five and 20 Spirits. More than a dozen skilled artisans contributed their skills to produce this liqueur like no other. Bartenders, retails and consumers asked for a coffee liqueur that was not too sweet with a higher alcohol content. QUality cold-brewed coffee, rum and sugar. That's it!
