You might know the Braeval distillery as ‘Braes-of-Glenlivet’. Or, if you look at it from someone else’s point of view, you might know the Braes-of-Glenlivet distillery as ‘Braeval’. All you need to know is once upon a time it was one of the distilleries which had “of-Glenlivet” at the end of its name, though it no longer does and is now called Braeval. All square? Good. So, this label features the chaps from Master of Malt (who were drawn into the world of whisky by an indie bottling of Braes-of-Glenlivet) and a load of in-jokes that probably wouldn’t make much sense if explained.
Nose: Grains, cinnamon toast cereal and clotted cream.
Palate: Oily grains, blueberry and white chocolate. More cinnamon balanced with caramelised sugar.
Finish: Peach sandwich. We've all made one of these, right?
