As with SPEY's Royal Choice, this bottling celebrates the fact that when Lord Byron married Annabelle Millbanke in 1815 he gifted a barrel of whisky from the Speyside distillery to King George III. This is a limited edition of 1,200 bottles of Port cask matured single malt.
Tasting note from distillery:
A delicate balance of warm, nutty, tawny port hues with a soft, sweet toffee aftertaste and a fresh, fruit lingering notes, soothing the palate like the finest warm honey caressing one's tongue.
From Master of Malt:
Nose: Red fruit, candied peels, dried apricot and caramel brittle.
Palate: Honeyed nuts, pepper, lemon and and a little mint.
Finish: Sweet caramel.
