Sherry and peat… mossy rocks, leather, roasted coffee beans, plaster, seaweed, lemon drops, miso soup, rubber tires, new car smell, longan fruit, sage, overripe banana, clove, dry basil, wet asphalt, scallions and carrots, kiwi, some black teas (pu-erh maybe), slightly burnt caramel, maple honey glaze—becoming a lot sweeter with time… Water brings more lemons and lime, vanilla pod, winter melon, smoked ham, tractor grease, high ester rum, kiwis become more sour. The iodine isn’t as heavy in this one
Very dense. Bitter and sour first, sweetness comes in only at the end but it’s very muted. Definitely not as sweet as many OB Laphroaigs (probably due to the bourbon casks they tend to favour). Bitter lemon oil, iodine, eucalyptus, smoked ham, black tea, vanilla, canned tuna water, dark chocolate, cacao, ash.
