Regarded as one of the leading ultra-premium producers of Cabernet Sauvignon, our vision is to craft the ultimate expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Stellenbosch Winelands of South Africa. Founded and managed by the Le Riche Family, we exclusively select and source only the highest-quality fruit, from unique vineyards, grown by long-term, established farmers. At the core of this is an inherent knowledge and respect of terroir, in particular the soil, and a winemaking ethos that is traditionally simplistic yet innovative.

The Le Riche Cabernet Sauvignon is the true backbone of the range, crafted using only a selection of Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. Supple, elegant and rich with layers of fruit, this is our expression of the quintessential Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch.
The grapes are selected from various vineyard sites in the Simonsberg, Jonkershoek and Helderberg wards. The conscientiously considered blend of cool gravelly slopes facing False Bay and rich red granitic soils around Stellenbosch ensures a beautiful balance of aromas and flavours. Matured for up to two years in French oak barrels and bottled unfined, the result is a Cabernet Sauvignon that brims with complex flavours thanks to the blended fruit from diverse terroir. It can be enjoyed young or will benefit beautifully from cellaring.

22 months in 225L French oak barrels. 18 % new oak
Deep garnet in colour. Inviting aromas of plum, cherry and blackcurrant with hints of violet and cedar. On the palate the wine is fruit forward showing delicious fresh black fruits and a juicy entry. Firm tannins assist in creating a voluptuous, creamy mouthfeel which is balanced by a long, appetising finish. A classic Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon.
