From the Distillery:
Combining peated spirit collected at low strength from our Straight Neck stills with both peated and unpeated distillates from our Swan Neck stills, this expression brings together layers of fruit and rich smoke, showcasing the delicate art of uniting distinct distillate styles. After initial maturation in a variety of American Oak casks, the whisky is finished in first-fill Rioja red wine casks, enhancing its rich fruit character while deepening the soft, smoky complexity.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: This whisky opens with aromas of woodsmoke, malty biscuit and redcurrant fruit.
Palate: On the palate, sweet honey and soft fruits of peach and pear combine with dark chocolate and a touch of orange citrus.
Finish: The finish is medium in length, with lingering smoke and a gentle richness.
