From the winery:
La Escuela is named for the rural school (Escuela) located on the property. We actively support the school through regular donations and scholarships, furthering the education of our rural vineyard families.
The vineyard has patchwork of unique soil structure: sandy in some areas, stony patches of calcareous rocks, and light sandy silt. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak, 20% new.
